Our Story
'From untamed hearts rise legends' is our motto and for good reason. Think of all the legends in history, how many do you think got there by following the crowd? How many let negativity stop them? I can’t think of a single one.
Bodacii was created by me (Megan), a first generation farmer and a lover of country music. Before farming I was actually a dancer, now I know what you're thinking, "what on earth made you go from dancing to farming?" But the truth is although I grew up in a town, there was nothing I longed for more than the country life. I used to think the only way for me to actually get into farming would be to marry a farmer, until one day I decided 'screw it, I'm going to do it myself.' And that was the day I took the bold move to follow my dream despite the noise around me telling me not to do it and I was mad!
Starting out wasn’t easy. Breaking into agriculture without a farming background meant facing negative/sexist comments, closed doors, and limited opportunities for new entrants. But if there’s one thing you should know about me…if someone tells me "I can’t", I'm the type to respond with a smile, an occasional middle finger, and “watch me.”
But over the years, I've noticed more and more young people within the industry, especially young girls, let the negative comments affect the choices they make. I often came across comments on social media like "I'd be too scared to wear that', "you're not a real farmer if you weren't born into it" or "you can’t be a country singer if you’re from the UK". But here’s the truth: bold moves always spark doubt — that’s on them, not you. This inspired me to create not only a clothing brand but a community that empowers people to be themselves and follow their dreams.
Our name 'Bodacii' stems from the word 'bodacious', a word that we truly think sums up our community! Bold, daring and brazen. Not to mention one of the most legendary and feared rodeo bulls of all time!
At Bodacii we don't believe in following the crowd. We take risks. We wear what we want. And most importantly, we chase what sets our souls on fire. They say you can't do something because you're a woman? Go do it with a smile on your face! Want to wear that cowboy hat in the middle of the city? Do it with confidence! Our passion is to empower you to simply be YOU...a legend.
